We had the pleasure of meeting Ashley after both of my daughters won the National American Miss Pennsylvania titles in 2008. Never did we ever dream that both girls would go to Nationals together. My oldest daughter had been to Nationals before and we often discussed the possibility of speaking to a Pageant Coach. Until we met Ashley, we really never took that step. We seemed to know, almost immediately, that Ashley was special. Something just “clicked.” Ashley began coaching Holly, my oldest daughter, via phone consultations in preparation for her National interview. She also helped to fine tune her personal introduction. She and Maria also took Morgan’s state personal introduction, lengthened it, jazzed it up a bit, and completely “nailed” Morgan’s personality. Both girls went to Nationals confident and ready. Nothing could have prepared us for what was about to happen. Morgan, after watching her older sister for years and literally growing up with National American Miss, took the ball and ran with it. She was crowned the new National American Miss Princess. I truly believe that her personal introduction played a major role in her success. It was so natural and so “Morgan.” We’ve also consulted with Ashley for our wardrobe needs. Holly purchased an absolutely beautiful gown for America’s Perfect Teen National Pageant in Florida this summer and she placed in the top 15. Morgan will be crowning her successor at the National American Miss National Pageant in Anaheim, California in November in her beautiful gown and interview suit from Ashley Renes. Ashley has been so much more than a Pageant Coach. She has been a mentor and friend.
________________________________ My daughters have been competing in pageants for nearly 10 years now and had great accomplishments without any coaching, but then we met Ashley and our lives changed. Meeting Ashley and working with her for the past couple of years has been one of the greatest decisions of our lives. It began with a few phone consults with both of my girls competing at the National American Miss Pageant. I had never seen my girls so confident going into that week because they had worked so hard on what ‘Miss Ashley’ told them even though we had never seen her face to face! When we met her at Nationals for the first time we clicked instantly, and my girls fell in love with her. My 15 year old, who has a tendency to not stay focused occasionallyJ, listened to every word she said and I have never seen that with anyone else we have worked with until Ashley. My oldest daughter really loved how she formed a bond with every one of her clients and how she makes all of them feel special and gives them a full confidence boost before everything they do. I personally believe she is one of the nicest, caring, and inspirational women I have met. She has more integrity than anyone I know, and believes that every one of her clients deserves that crown! With Ashley by our side my youngest daughter Kasey was crowned the 2008-2009 National All-American Miss Jr. Teen and my oldest daughter Kassidy was the 2008 National American Miss Kansas, and the 2007 National Teen Spokesmodel. She has truly been one of the greatest assets to our lives and we will continue to sing her praises for many years to come!
_________________________________ What can I begin to say about Ashley Tucker Pageant Coach Extraordinaire (AKA) "Miss Ashley" besides that she is one of the most talented, caring, honest & knowledgeable Pageant Coaches out there today for our daughters Pageant preparations & Pageant needs. We always tell our daughters to be themselves & to just go out and do their very best and when they do, sometimes it's just not enough to capture that so deserving Crown and Title. Hundreds of girls have so much potential locked away and Miss Ashely is like the "Key" to unlock all of that hidden talent and personality in so many girls With her knowledge of Pageants, Pageant Fashion, the "Rights & Wrongs" and the "Do's & Don'ts", she is by far the "Go To Coach" for all of your Pageant Needs. She has that "nack" for picking the right Gown and Interview Suit, the "eye" for making sure their on-stage personality & walk is perfect and the "ear" to make sure her Introduction is being said as it should be!!! My daughter Lynzi has always done very well, winning an American Coed Queens title 2 times and National American Miss 1 time and courting every other year. She recently placed 18th at American Coed Nationals and felt that she did so much better than 18th, so we reviewed the National Video footage & her scores, as did Miss Ashley and we saw exactly where she needed the help.
_________________________________ I just wanted to sat thank for all your help and how much I appreciated everything you did for Olivia. You are wonderful. You made our pageant experience so much better than it was before. I can not express enough your kindness and how you interacted not just with Olivia but all your girls was amazing. You taught Olivia so much. When she shows everyone the picture of you and her she tells everyone about you and how you took care of her. It really is priceless. Even though Olivia did not win the queen placing 1st runner up in the princess division was awesome. We are planning to go to nationals and we know you will help us make that a wonderful experience too.
__________________________________ Thank you for your article in Pageantry Magazine. It solidified for me something I was missing in preparing for my interview. I was practicing questions and visualizing, but never wrote down the bullet points. I had even heard Lain Berry, Mrs. International 2008 talk about having bullet points, but never heard about the notebook idea. I wish I had a copy of this article three weeks ago, before I competed at Mrs. International. I will use this notebook and bullets idea to help future contestants. I really think this idea would have made a difference in my interview and probably my standing. If I compete again, I will definitely use this idea. Thank you so much for sharing!
___________________________________ Ashley Tucker-Swathwood was a tremendous help in preparing my daughter for the National American Miss Pageant. NAM is the first major pageant Celine had ever participated in and we had no idea as to what to expect. Ashley’s guidance, whether it was in helping to pick out her gown, casual wear, shoes or interview suit was immense. At first I was a bit skeptical since all the consultations were via e-mail or on the phone prior to Nationals, but things worked out beautifully and Celine won the crown! Ashley worked with Celine to help her formulate her interview answers in a concise and intelligent manner. At no point did she ever suggest an answer to Celine, which allowed for Celine’s answers to be natural and spontaneous. I think that really helped - Celine achieved the highest score for interview. I also was skeptical about working with a " pageant coach" especially for a young child, but Ashley has such a kind and endearing way about her that it put my fears at ease and she related beautifully to my child. Celine loved working with "Miss Ashley" during the National Pageant in California, and thought of her as her big sister! I would wholeheartedly recommend Ashley as a pageant coach and consultant. I believe that Celine would have scored highly in the pageant even without coaching, but I think that it was Ashley’s guidance that helped her win the National crown.
___________________________________ I have been competing in pageants for almost ten years now without a coach, but I recently heard about Ashley's wonderful pageant coaching business from a friend of mine. I decided to work with Ashley for my last year in National American Miss because I really wanted to leave the pageant world with a bang! I have never felt so completely prepared and confident onstage due to all of the practice and preparation I did with Ashley in advance and during pageant week. With her help, I won or placed in every optional contest I entered and placed in the Top 5 overall for the first time at a National level, when I was named second runner-up in the National American Miss 2008 Pageant! Ashley is not only a great pageant coach who gives her girls great results, but also a wonderful, sweet person who has become a good friend of mine as well. Thanks for everything Ashley!
___________________________________ As mother’s we are always looking out for our children. When I first contemplated finding a pageant coach for my daughter, I worried that a “coach” would change her, and who she really was…I cannot tell you how thrilled I was to find Ms. Ashley. She clearly has a passion for what she does and that was evident when meeting her for the first time. Through her professionalism and more importantly, caring personality, she was able to enhance my daughter’s strengths and in a very comfortable and friendly way help her improve any areas of weakness. This was all done while building a wonderful friendship and sense of trust. Both my daughter and I adore Ms. Ashley and cannot wait to work with her again! She is a bright, articulate, and sincere individual who I feel very blessed to have in our life!
___________________________________ In order to better prepare for the National All American Miss competition in 2007, we began the search for a coach. What we found in Ashley was an amazing, compassionate and incredibly talented person. She provided us with insight into each competition, helped select a dress from Ashley Rene’s, and assisted with all of the paperwork. While at the competition, she gave Sarah just the extra boost of confidence she needed before each event and we will be forever grateful because we could not have done it without her guidance. Sarah will always be proud to be one of “Miss Ashley’s girls”
___________________________________ It has been our pleasure to get to know Ashley and have her work with my daughter , Olivia ,this year to prepare for National American Miss Jr. Pre-teen. Olivia learned so much from Ashley in everything from Casual Wear Modeling to Formal Wear to Interview. Our drive to Indiana from Nashville was well worth every bit of effort and one on one with Ashley was one of the best things we have ever done for our daughter! Ashley has such a way with the young girls and has encouraged Olivia from the beginning to set her goals and do her best, all the while helping show her how much special she is and how she believes in Olivia! We could not have asked for a better role model for our daughter and Olivia has made a life-long friend! We look forward to working with Ashley for many years. Her knowledge of pageantry is remarkable!
I've known Ashley for a long time and ever since I can remember, she has always been there to help me with anything and EVERYTHING! I recently competed in Miss Indiana Teen USA 2006; Ashley did everything she could to help me prepare and I really don't think I could have done it without her! She was really good about encouraging me to come visit her to work on anything I didn't feel comfortable with and did an awesome job with helping me find the absolute perfect dress!! She even organized a get together for a bunch of girls to meet together and work on interview with her and Don Baker. Ashley is great to work with and really encouraged me to be involved in every decision that was made. She's such a great coach and really knows what she's talking about!!
___________________________________ God blessed me with the title of National All-American Miss Teen in 2004 for the National American Miss Pageant system, although I was very new to the pageant industry. Lucky for me, Ashley Tucker was the reigning National American Miss 2004 and from her I learned so much. Ashley lit up onstage; she walked with indescribable elegance, spoke with immense eloquence, and knew more about pageantry than anyone I had ever met. Upon the completion of my reign, I was hesitant to give pageantry a second chance since I credited my previous win to luck rather than skill. Ashley, however, encouraged me to compete again, constantly advising and reassuring me on each decision along the way. She suggested how I should style my hair or what stylist I should go to, what dress I should wear, how I should walk and speak... everything! I trusted Ashley the entire time, never doubting any of her advice. I was crowned National American Miss 2006 on November 27th, 2005 and I strongly believe that it is due in large part to Ashley’s constant support and helpful advice. Thank you Ashley Tucker!"
___________________________________ We have been working with Ashley since the Fall of 2005. I went on a quest to find just the right person to help Callie and I prepare for National American Miss Nationals. It's hard to find someone to work with that will be honest but at the same time be straight forward with you. That's Ashley. We have done all of our correspondence through email and by phone - it can be done - believe it or not. Living in another state where there aren';t very many pageants makes it hard to find someone to work with. Callie and I have been so pleased with everything that Ashley has worked with us on-speech, intro, and interview. Callie absolutely adores Ashley and she hasn't even met her yet. Ashley has tons of knowledge, which is very important to have in the pageant system. I would recommend her services to anyone. She has been so helpful with all the questions and emails that I have thrown her way. She's been a true blessing to Callie and I and we are so excited to continue to work towards Callie's goals knowing that she'll be right there to guide us.Thank you Ashley for everything - you are very dear to us and we are so much better for just knowing you.
___________________________________ I have had the chance to get to know Ashley while designing her websites. When I was getting down to last minute details for my first Miss America state competition, Ashley was there to provide great insight into the interview processes as well as the perfect earrings for each of my competition outfits from Ashley Rene's. Her support at the National American Miss national competition in California was also instrumental in my success in the All-American Miss Competition. Thanks so much Ashley!!!!
___________________________________ Wow what an amazing weekend! Not only did I win Speech, Sportswear, Most Recommendations, Best Thank you letter, and 1st ru for Volunteer service but I also was named 2nd runner up for Miss IL Jr.Teen! I owe it to you Ashley, I couldn't have done it with out you!
___________________________________ I do not even know where to begin! Ashley has been so wonderful to me throughout the whole coaching process. Her care transcends the pageant realm and she has been so supportive in my personal life as well. I feel like I have a true confidant and mentor who will be honest with me and guide me in a positive direction. Ashley's pageant experience blows me away and I feel truly blessed to be privy to her arsenal of knowledge. I truly feel that Ashley's guidance helped me place in the top 5 at my very competitive state pageant. I would seriously recommend her to anyone who is serious about a pageant title or someone who wants guidance for a pageant. I cannot say enough good things about Ashley, she is truly the best! If you choose to work with her, you WON'T be disappointed! Thanks for everything, Ashley, you are wonderful and I cannot wait to work with you again SOON!
___________________________________ To be completely honest, before I decided to work with Ashley, I was very hesitant. I had never worked with a coach before in my eight previous years of pageant competition, and I was scared to start. With my last opportunity to compete at Nationals for National American Miss before I aged out, I did decide to work with Ashley. Now, I have no idea how I ever prepared for a pageant without her. She was there for me every step of the way, guiding me through each area of competition. Not only did she make me feel more confident about my preparations and performances, she was a true friend I could go to if I needed anything during pageant week. She is one of the sweetest, most genuine people I have ever met, and the only thing I regret, is not working with her sooner. I truly believe that her direction and support greatly contributed to the moment my name was announced as the 2006-2007 National All-American Miss. Thank you Ashley! You are a true inspiration!
___________________________________ I am the mother of a 20 year old daughter who loves to compete in pageants. Lorianne has competed in various pageants for the past 7 years and has never used a pageant coach. Last fall when she was preparing for National All-American Miss she decided to hire Ashley Tucker. At the time I really did not feel she needed a coach as she has learned so much on her own over the past years.
